The Dartmoor series represents memories of place. Locations were revisited from my childhood and then photographed the day after full moon. The negatives were then buried in the same location, surrendering the surface of the negatives to the physical environment. The microbes in the soil ate away the gelatin, and the actual process scratched and marked their surface. The negatives were then exhumed like a memory, and printed, representing a physical manifestation, a photograph, of Dartmoor and the memory of that place etched onto their surface.
